What on earth is TGiF? One may well ask! So I asked!
What follows is the result of my “interview” with a handful of them (handful being the key word!) -
Me: Tell me what TGiF stands for.
Them: Thank Goodness it’s Friday.
Me: And when do you go?
Them: On Friday evenings (not every week).
Me: What’s good about it?
Them: Meeting up with my friends, having a good laugh.
Me: What else do you do, apart from having a good laugh?
Them: It’s great because we get to hang around with our friends and stuff.
We love it – we love it because it’s really great fun and we play games and go crazy (well, most of us do!) we had a “murder mystery” last week
Me: Did anyone get murdered?
Them: No, but Douglas nearly did at the end!
Me: And where do you meet?
Them: At the Manse or the church. we play games in the church too – we’ve got a play station.
Me: What age do you have to be?
Them: 13. And there’s “Plus”!
Me: What’s “Plus”?
Them: For when you’re 15 (year 11) – they meet on Saturday (TGiS?)
Me: Anything else you want to tell me about it.
Them: It’s fabulous! It’s really good!
So, if you’re the right age (or you know someone that is) and you’d like to come along, get in touch to find out when they next meet – you’d be made most welcome!
